Students, educators, or other interested professionals may participate in this 3 part Introduction to Play Therapy on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 6:00-6:45pm. You will have the opportunity to tour The Playroom Lubbock, interview Kelly Martin, LPC about the practice of play therapy, and observe a 15 minute live play therapy demonstration. Participants must register to attend The Play Project and there is a limit of 5 participants per session. (A limit of 5 is strongly enforced). The $10 fee (less a processing fee) may only be refunded if participant cancels no less than 2 days before the scheduled Play Project.

The Play Project is a public awareness initiative developed by The Playroom Lubbock to encourage play in our kids' lives. Play is how our kids make sense of the world. Many of you have an impact in children's lives through play. The message we want to send is that play is an integral part of life for communicating, coping, adjusting, and discovering. Play therapy is counseling for kids using play as their language and toys as their words.
