Join us for a play-based summer group for children ages 3-5 designed to build your child’s confidence, social connection, and school-readiness. Our graduate student interns Cheyenne and Madison will facilitate child-led play through the PlayStrong approach described in The Way of Play book by Dr. Tina Payne-Bryson and Georgie Wisen-Vincent. This is NOT a therapy group, but an opportunity for your child to engage in developmental growth through play.

This summer program includes:

1. Introductory Virtual Parent Informational meeting where you will learn the PlayStrong approach to carry on at home. You will also be given access to the Playroom Lubbock’s eBook to utilize as a child-raising resource! July 1, 2026 from 12:00-12:30pm. This meeting is optional yet highly encouraged.

2. 4 play group sessions for your child ages 3-5 on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:15am July 8, July 15, July 22, and July 29.

3. Location of play group: Playroom Lubbock at 4801 Elgin Avenue, Lubbock, TX

4. Your $80 fee includes all 4 play sessions + the virtual parent meeting!

5. Parents are encouraged to wait in our lobby during the play sessions. However, we want our young people to feel safe and secure and we realize a new place may prompt them needing their parent more. We will email some tips ahead of time on how to support them!
