Hello! My name is Jodi Shea.

I am currently a graduate student intern under the clinical supervision of Kelly Martin, MEd, LPC-S, RPT-S. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayland Baptist University in 2022 and am now pursuing a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas Tech University.

I have always had a passion for working with children and am excited for the opportunity to continue growing and learning as part of the team at The Playroom. This internship is a meaningful step in my journey toward becoming a compassionate and effective counselor. I will be working from a Child Centered Play Therapy approach and my desire is to provide children with a safe space to work through challenges and grow.

Originally from Colorado, I’ve called Texas home for the past five years while completing my education. Outside of my academic and internship work, I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and my cocker spaniel puppy, Lady May. I also love being outdoors, exploring local coffee shops and thrift stores, and baking sourdough bread in my free time.
